N. Korea’s Kim and his cohorts’ launching threats and missiles may function not only as genuine threats, but also as as propaganda. Both/and! The devastation in N. or S. Korea or elsewhere, which would follow from nuclear explosions, may not be perceived. Logical misperception and sanity may also be in question. This paradigm may also occur in the Middle East and elsewhere globally. Like firestorms in dry forests, the ubiquity and power of propaganda to spread should not be underestimated. These reflections apply where there is similar unpredictability and global effect, for example, in the Trump administration.
